Community Empowerment Programs, Inc.

 

ABOUT CEPI: 

Established August 2008, we are a Public Charitable Organization that offers and  provides grassroots community outreach, educational, and social services programs that enhance child, youth, adults, and families lives. We serve the  Capital Region - New York State,  and has an established National, and International presence through partnerships and leveraging with NGOs, CBOs, Universities, and Health Care Providers.

2012-2013, Moving Forward:

Current Partnerships include the El Buem Amigo Latin American Cultural Association (LACA) (Buffalo, NY) Quest, Inc. Schenectady, NY , the L.H.A. Institute for Social Work and Education, and the Project VietNam Foundation (PVNF).

Consultant and Former Ambassador, Sondra Holland and member of "We the People" an association of the Citizens Ambassador Program for Performing Arts and Cultural Exchange, joined us this year to  assist in strengthening CEPI's diversity, civic, & humanitarian programs through her teachings of music, fine arts, and education in signet countries: China, Tibet, and Khsakstan.  

What this means:

We're working together to strengthen our state-wide, national,  & international livelihood & child-friendly community emersion projects .

How We'll Get There:

With continued leveraging of community, public, and private partnerships that support our common goals. Check back over the next few months to learn about our first joint project; 1st Annual Gala that will showcase, youth, community, ethnic, and diversity related activities.

Vice President of Operations provides a keynote speech at the Tompkins County Community Mental Health Services Board's 3rd annual celebration about his dedicated service to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as a professional and self-advocate. He also attends the Delaware Neighborhood Association’s monthly community, business, and economic development/improvements network on behalf of his local community and CEPI.-      __________________----___ 

Myra Theresa Vasquez officially  joined us in January 2011.

Since 2009 she has partnered with us to offer voluntary services to develop our international programs for high-need children and youth needing support in education, employment, and community resources.

She brings to the partnership a rich cultural background in foreign language, international customer relations, and management skills that are in line with our objective to develop international partnerships with Southeast Asian CBO, NGO, and Government.

Core Values Statement

-Develop and implement resource and information center activities in arts, technology, and science to further advance post-secondary educational opportunities for youth

-To identify and integrate accessible technology and learning strategies to high-need individuals ages child through adult in preparation for employment, post-secondary education, and community inclusion

-Assess community service gaps, develop needed program and provide innovative, creative, driven, and dedicated outreach, education, and training resources through partnerships with schools, NGO's and provide 21st century opportunities for advancement

-Disseminate data, research, and statistical analysis to families, stake-holders, CBO’s, and the private sector through marketing and public relations materials on our website and related information portals
